About Us
The Manitoba Gazehound Association (MGA) promotes and hosts canine sports and activities across Manitoba. Our events provide safe, exciting opportunities for dogs to run, compete, and showcase their natural abilities to chase prey. We welcome experienced competitors, newcomers, and spectators alike.
Our Performance Trials
Lure Coursing
A competition only for Sighthounds, who run individually, in braces (two dogs), or in trios (three dogs).
Sprinter
A 100-meter dash open to all dogs, where a dog’s speed is timed and converted into a handicap-based score.
Chase Ability
A pass/fail event for all breeds (including mixed breeds) where dogs run the course alone to test their natural prey drive.
